Survey Support and Client QA/QC Representatives
Planning and managing the execution of offshore survey projects within schedule and budget limits can be challenging given the nature of the industry and the dynamic conditions in which we operate.
Vessel Gyro Calibration in progress
OSL’s team of professionals provides technical and project management expertise to Clients and Consultants to support project design, specifications, operational planning, HSE and risk evaluation, and technical supervision. OSL senior personnel have provided Client Representative and QA/QC services for Geophysical, ROV, Environmental, Geotechnical and Positioning Surveys offshore.
OSL management personnel have planned and overseen the execution of offshore survey projects, both in the field as offshore Party Chief’s and in the office as Project Manager.
Potential clients can benefit from trained project management professionals who ensure the job goes as planned, on schedule and within budget.
OSL can also support larger scale survey projects which require our technical expertise such as pipeline inspections, geotechnical site investigations, etc.
Project Management
The OSL management team members have planned and overseen the execution of offshore survey projects, both in the field with as offshore party chief and in the office as project manager. Potential clients can benefit from trained project management professionals who ensure the job goes as planned, on schedule and within budget.
Geotechnical Consultancy
OSL has in-house capabilities supported by alliance partners to provide marine/ coastal geotechnical engineering and operational expertise to potential Clients. This expertise extends from project design and planning to technical supervision, data processing and reporting for geotechnical engineering purposes. Reporting deliverables include Standard Static Data Reports for platform and pipeline investigations, Jack-up Leg Penetration Analyses, Pile Design Information, etc. OSL also provides CPT data processing for down-hole or seabed systems using CPeT-IT software.
OSL also provides operational support for vessel mobilizations, equipment selection and set-up and field operations for site investigations for platforms and jack-ups using rotary or top-drive drilling systems, pipeline or cable surveys using jumbo-piston, gravity or vibro corers or seabed CPT systems and coastal geotechnical investigations from barges, pontoons or shallow water vessels.
Data Processing and Reporting
OSL is able to perform, either in-house or through our dedicated geo consulting alliance, a variety of data processing and reporting tasks to meet project specifications. Whether it is Multibeam data processing using EIVA Naviedit, Navimodel3, Naviplot and Imaging packages, chart production for route alignment or bathymetry or seabed features, isopach maps and full drilling hazard reports. These can be performed on board, remotely (on shore) or post-survey.
